The Boston Blades are a professional women's ice hockey team that plays in Boston, Massachusetts. Boston Blades are a new franchise[1] in the Canadian Women's Hockey League. In 2010-11 Season,the team played their games and hold practices at Harvard Bright Center in Cambridge.[2]. For 2011-12 Season, the Boston Blades plays their home games at the Bright Hockey Center in the campus of the University Harvard situated to Cambridge in suburb of Boston.

History

On August 12, 2010, the CWHL announced that the city of Boston would receive an expansion team for the 2010–11 CWHL season, making them the first American team in the League. In the 2010 CWHL Draft, Boston was able to protect some players from being selected from their first roster. The team was coached by Erin Whitten.
